District Conference was amazing! Eight of our club members (four of us for the first time), and we had a ball. The program was full of interesting guest speakers including Rob Pennicott, Dr Joanna McMillan, Layne Beachley and Holly Ransom. We had a fun Chinese themed dinner on the Saturday night with our club members dressed up as noodle boxes. We didn’t win best dressed but hey….it was fun making the costumes. We did win a commendation award though for our website. Thanks to Jeff and everyone that has been contributing and updating posts.
Ask anyone that went to Conference, and I’m sure they will say that it was a truly inspiring weekend. To be in a room with over 500 fellow Rotarians was heartwarming. To know that we are all volunteers, here to do good and help fellow people, really makes me proud to be a part of Rotary.
