RYLA is a six day residential high energy program supporting and developing young leaders between the ages of 18 and 27.
RYLA recognises, encourages and educates current and future leaders through this intensive leadership training experience. The program demonstrates Rotary’s commitment to developing leaders.
Participants are selected for their demonstrated leadership potential in scholastic, athletic and civic activities. Today’s Rylarians are tomorrow’s leaders. We aim to send Rylarians home better equipped to face the world by developing skills, understanding and confidence during their RYLA experience.
RYLA is a youth program by Rotary District 9820 – an immersive 6 day program with thought provoking plenaries, discussion moderators, and professional facilitators from many disciplines. Discussions and experiential sessions focus on what leadership is, qualities of leadership, team-building activities, time and stress management.
Graduates of previous RYLA programs report the course was fantastic opportunity to develop their skills, have fun, and meet an enthusiastic group of like-minded people.
RYLA is a life changing experience, so take the challenge and apply today.
Participants are selected and sponsored by local Rotary Clubs, there is no cost to the Rylarian or their family. Sponsor Rotary club’s interview and select participants to represent their community and club.
Interested applicants can contact their local Rotary club, or directly to the program coordinators.
Rotary clubs are encouraged to select participants from their local community, businesses, tertiary education facilities and other community service groups.
Businesses and other organisations are encouraged to sponsor staff members to attend, or to sponsor a young leader from their community. Contact your local Rotary club or RYLA Coordinators.
