THE PEN – November 2019 – William Adams Kits

We have continued with our packaging of the William Adams Oil kits, and have recently offered this fundraising activity to other local community groups such as Scouts and Little Athletics Clubs.  We hope to continue build these partnerships with other community groups in our local area.

William Adams is a reputable and extremely successful Caterpillar dealer – supplying, selling and servicing the best equipment in the construction, mining and agriculture industry.  William Adams has a relationship with Rotary Peninsula 2.0, giving us the opportunity to assemble oil testing kits which are used for Caterpillar machinery across Australia.  Assembly of these kits allows the machine’s oil to be easily tested.

William Adams company sends our Rotary club 2,000 kits at a time, requiring assembly in approximately 6 weeks turn around.  To assemble these kits, it takes approximately 40 man hours, and as a Community Service, they donate $1,000 to the organisation of choice.  Our Rotary club has completed the assembly of these kits for a while now, and would like to offer the opportunity to our fellow local community organisations as a fundraiser.  The assembly of these kits could be part of your Term 2 program if suitable, and the date of delivery would need to be confirmed with our Rotary Club upon acceptance.

The assembly of the kits involves putting instructions into a container, tying up a tube, and placing these items into a zip lock bag – all provided.  This exercise is suitable for all age groups, as long as an adult is supervising to ensure each container is correctly completed.
